Any tips on the number of keywords to insert in the keyword meta tags when optimizing for Google?

There is no limit, but I don't think there is any search engine that will read more than 1,000 characters from the meta keywords tag. I would keep it under 500 characters, but I would try to keep it limited to 2 keyword phrases for every 100 words of your content.

Make sure you have done your keyword research first so the keywords and phrases you use have search traffic.

Meta tags go within the header area of your web pages. A typical head might look like this:

<head> <title>Welcome To Shoe Central!</title> <meta name=”description” content=”All the best prices on shoes!” /> <meta name=”robots” content=”noodp” /> <meta name=”keywords” content=”shoe, shoes, shoee, shos, footwear” /> </head>

The header is the section that begins <head> and ends </head>. Between those elements, in our example, you have these tags:

Title: The text here becomes the title that is shown in search engine listings, in most cases.
Description: The text here is text that search engines sometimes use as a description for your web page when listing it.
Robots: This particular tag is configured to ensure that the page isn’t described using the a description that the Open Directory might have for it.
Keywords: This tag is the topic of this article, so read on.

Use 2-3 keywords phrase for Keyword Meta Tags maximum to avoid keyword stuffing...

Hello friends,
According to me It would be best to focus on 2 or max up to 3 different keywords on a single page to obtain good search engine ranking results.
