Quality content is what sells your product/services, it also gets you relevant links. As long as your website has unique content you will be ranking good in SERPs. There are many websites which were ranking in top ten which doesnt have good page rank

Google Page Rank (PR) is based on back links. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another good high pr and relevant website. The more back links you have the higher your PR will be.

PR tells the importance of any web page. Previously people were dying to get high PR. Well it's good to get high PR but it doesn't take part for getting good SERP. So if you are a beginner I suggest you to concentrate on back links instead of PR.

               PR is very important because it increase the traffic. the main issue of page rank is to increase traffic and value of website. but pagerank is important for specific keywords.

PageRank is only one factor and while it is important to Google it does not work the way you are thinking.
PageRank is a score that is increased and or decreased according to the number of links pointing at our site. Google scores a link on many different factors as to the amount of PR they will give the site they are linking to.

PR is actually, what ? it shows your reputation on net. If you have no PR you have no reputation and no market.
