Yes, unless your keyword phrases describe the image.

choosing keyword for image tag is a very important aspect as it leads to spamming also so always use the right keyword, don't stuff keywords in alt attribute and generate a phrase which describe the image, its behavior if it is used in link and it will work fine for website promotion...
